Please allow me to introduce my husband Chris and I as the new innkeepers
of the Blue Heron Inn, a Bed & Breakfast here in beautiful Solomons Island, Maryland. We are so thrilled to have the privilege
of carrying on the traditions of a wonderful personalized hospitality which
Richard and Annie have built here. Please know that creating an unforgettable
experience for our guests is truly our passion.
Through our offerings and surroundings, we celebrate the rich, local
abundance of our region in a peaceful, elegant and relaxing waterfront bed
The food we offer to our guests is based on the seasonality of our southern
Maryland region. We are blessed here in Solomons Island to be surrounded by a rich abundance of family owned farms,
fishermen, farmers markets and artisan craftsmen. Not only does the food
we offer change based on the season, but it changes based on what looks too
good to resist that day at the market!
A note about our Gourmet:
As your hostess, I am dedicated to satisfying the senses of your soul through
my culinary offerings. My philosophy about food is this: The food
we eat, and how and when we eat it, has such an amazing history and tradition
within each regions culture. I feel very strongly about the traditions
of food and respect food as part of our personal history as a people. But
more than anything, I think food is fun, especially when enjoyed among friends
in a comfortable space, and feel so happy to be able to share my concept
of "Elbows-on-the-table Gourmet" with you. Whether it is a
romantic dinner served on your balcony overlooking the water, a picnic on the
lawn at sunset, or an amuse bouche and a glass of wine before your stroll down the boardwalk, I
trust that the bounty of our blessings will be thoroughly enjoyed.
